Cuckoo Brow Inn
DAY TRIP. If you are in Windermere for the day then you can get on the ferry across Far Sawrey (a bit of a novelty for the kids on the ferry!) and there is a lovely pub called Cuckoo Brow Inn just up the hill from where you get off the ferry. The food is lovely, nice place for an evening meal and family friendly.
Arnside Chip Shop
For the best fish and chips head to Arnside about 10/15-minute drive is the Arnside chip Shop. Currently, all food has to be pre-ordered on their website for pre-allocated time slots. This system is working well but you will need to place your order early to get your preferred time. Well worth the effort it is great food.
